Levels and time
There are two levels of Arm and Leg Lift, each requiring a different number of repetitions and each taking a different amount of time:
- 10 times each side: takes 3 minutes.
- 20 times each side: takes 6 minutes.
How to do it
- Kneel on the floor.
- Hold the Wiimote in your right hand.
- Position yourself on all fours.
- Press the 'A' button when you are ready.
- Raise your right arm and left leg at the same time; your arm and leg should be straight.
- Hold your right arm at shoulder height. You will know that your arm is in the correct position when the red line on the screen is in the same position as the blue line.
- Keep lifting your right arm and left leg for as many repetitions as the level requires.
- Switch the Wiimote to your left hand and repeat on the other side.
Scoring
You are awarded points for how well the red line matched the blue line, for both the right and left sides.
Problems
- If you are having problems keeping yourself balanced, straighten your back.
- This is a challenging exercise, so work up gradually to the higher level.
- If you find that the Wiimote points up or down a bit, making it seem as if your shoulder is not in the right position, extending your index finger over the Wiimote can help keep it level.
