I'd like to see real locations that you can cycle through, eg major cities, or flat countries like Denmark or Holland.
Hubby has an xbox game where the circuits you drive in are based on real cities, I think that is great.
I think its got to be possible, now that I've seen Google street view.

Easy? Calculate 3D objects from millions of 2D pictures with a lot of moving parts.
Sorry, I did over ten years photogrammetrie in industrial projects nearly every day so I knew the requirements well.
For a fly-through by air plane it can work, because you don't see the most faults because it will covert by a speed over 100 km per hour, but by cycling you would get headache by looking all the idiosyncrasy's very fast.
In area with no moving part and all simply objects at least 10-20 meters and complicated like trees about 50m from your bicycle, it can look good.
Oh yes, I would like to drive virtual many routes but easy to realize is it sure not. :(

Additional: Running on a fixed route and angle of view like in Wii Fit jogging is far easier to realize.
I most use an automatic translator so the text can be exotic.

I'm open to all offers in this area Methusalem......I'm sure they could come up with interesting
and different scenes for jogging and cycling. You could borrow them from the library and
change them when they get old.

Xbox did it for the car racing game.

I'm not saying it would be easy but i think the demand would be there from people who can't
be active outside.
