Hi everyone

When I started with my Wii Fit I found the same thing. Then I marked a spot on the tile floor where I always place my board. Previously I placed it on a carpet and sometimes on different places on the tiled floor. Since the tiles are not always as level as they should be I have noticed small differences in BMI. The whole problem is now eliminated since the board is always on the exact same spot...even if the tiles are not level. I know it gives me the same weight as my bathroom scale and it is constant.

Hope this helps.

I found looking at results from day to day can be demoralizing.

It was better to look at the progress you have made from a monday to monday or even after a month.

My daily results go up and down all the time, it feels like 2 steps forward 1 step back but when I look at the whole, I was actually losing weight a bit at a time.
(I have lost over a stone since the 12th January) I was glad it was bothering me though, it just meant I put in an extra 1o or 15 mins!

Just keep going and you will get good results.

I agree it can be very demoralising to see the day to day fluctuations and it's better to step back and look at the overall picture.

Incidentally, has anyone ever weighed in (done the body test) before working out and immediately after ? I always get a lower reading second time ! not by much, but sometimes as much as a pound. I assume this must be fluid loss, though I hardly work up a sweat in this weather !

I've done that a few times Alexa and found the change to minimal up and down. Probably has something to do with how you are standing and balance.

Here's a link to a BMI chart: http://www.vertex42.com/ExcelTemplates/ ... -chart.gif

You can just look up your height and weight and find your BMI that way. I don't go by the Wii version. I've found it too unreliable. I also no longer weigh in on Wii for the same reason. I'm doing Weight watchers, and I weigh in at my meetings once a week. I don't check my weight during the intervening week because it just fluctuates too much and can be self-sabotaging. No matter where you weigh in, best to keep it at once a week.

My current BMI is 26 according to the chart. My doctor wants it down to 23, but I think that weight may not be realistic at my age. My personal goal is a BMI of 24, which is still in the "healthy" range. Once I get that, I'll worry then about whether or not to try for 23.

I've lost 9 pounds since December. Slow and steady..... :)
