now when I collect all the flags and finish the game it gives me a distance. Is that how much I walked? Because it just told me 4 miles. haha. And I REALLY don't feel like I walked 4 miles. :P Or is that how much the virtual bike thing went?

That is how far you have biked. You may not feel it at 4 but at 20 km you do :D

That's kinda weird then! lol. It's a virtual world... how would it have miles and stuff accurately. Odd. Oh well.

I don't think the miles are very accurate, I call them Wii-miles, myself. Today I ran 7.413 wii-miles and biked another 6.635 wii-miles.

I happen to know there is no way I could run 7.413 real miles in 50 minutes. I don't think I could run a real 7 miles period. Walk it? Yeah, no problem walking it.

I've questioned whether the miles, calories etc are anything close to right but then I decided it didn't really matter as long as it is consistent. I can see if I burned more calories today than yesterday or if my running or cycling is getting better because I can go farther in a shorter period of time. For our competitions it works fine because we're all using the same system and as long as we stay honest then it's all good.

I think that's a good attitude to take.

I have a pulse meter, which can also work out the calories I've burned based on my weight, height, sex and my pulse rate. I've used it with EA Sports Active and Wii Fit Plus and the results were surprisingly close to what the games estimated, within 10-15%.

I think the estimates are close enough to be useful.
